Lyrics
From the RIGLI Music video
Music, lyrics and production: Walter J. Kin (RIGLI)
No good movies playing at the Regal tonight
Killing time beneath the flashing neon light (neon light)
French fries and a soda from the golden arches down the street
Dipping in ranch as the crowd drags its feet
Headphones on staring up at the billboards' glow (billboards glow)
I walk these blocks eighteen times a month or so
Never stop to think if I’ve got it good
Just another night in a busy neighborhood
New Year on Times Square
I’m never in the crowd when the crystal ball drops down
New Year on Times Square
They’re screaming ten to one in the giddy countdown
I gaze as Broadway has a blast and shines
So why do I cry when the midnight chimes
Watching strangers in the snow kissing like they know
That love is all we've got here below
Confetti falling down like a paper storm (paper storm)
Looking at the screen cozy and warm
I survived the lottery I won the race
So why do the tears run down my face
New Year on Times Square
I’m never in the crowd when the crystal ball drops down
New Year on Times Square
They’re screaming ten to one in the giddy countdown
I gaze as Broadway has a blast and shines
So why do I cry when the midnight chimes
Watching strangers in the snow kissing like they know
That love is all we've got here below
French fries and ranch
